ABOUT ME

Reginald Nettles, PhD, CGP, is a Licensed  Psychologist and Certified Group Psychotherapist specializing in individual, couples and group psychotherapy, and maintains a private practice in Columbia, Maryland. 

With over 25 years experience as psychologist, and as a graduate of Howard University, specializing in interpersonal and psychodynamic psychotherapies, he is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are group psychotherapy, gender and gender orientation issues.

In addition to being a psychotherapist, Dr. Nettles has presented at local and national conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of Diversity and Identity, Multiple Minority Identies, Resilience, Group Psychotherapy, Disability Issues in Psychology, and Effects of "Change" Therapies with Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Individuals.  Presentations have included lectures, discussions and experiential workshops.

Dr. Nettles is an interactive psychotherapist. His therapeutic approach is to provide insight, support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges and appropriate behavior change.  With compassion and understanding, he works with each individual to help them in building on their strengths to attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
